APPLICATIONS FOR 2026 HAVE CLOSED.

Realema offers bursaries to South African citizens of colour who need financial support to study towards an education degree.

School Learner Applicants, please note:

  1. Please provide a copy of the applicant’s Gr 11 and most recent report.
  2. Please attach a copy of the applicant’s ID. If you don’t have an ID yet, please provide your birth certificate.
  3. Please supply either a pay slip or the latest bank statement that indicates the family’s household income.
  4. The applicant must be achieving a minimum of 40% in Maths / 50% in Maths Literacy; 50% in Home Language; and 60% in English Additional Language.

Post School Applicants – please note:

  1. Please provide a copy of your matric certificate and/or degree. If you are already studying, we also need your latest transcript of results.
  2. For a B.Ed, you must have achieved a minimum APS of 27 (excl LO), 40% in Maths/50% in Maths Literacy; 50% in Home Language; and 60% in English FAL.
  3. Please provide a copy of your ID.
  4. Please supply either a pay slip or the latest bank statement that indicates your/your family’s household income.
  5. For a PGCE, please send your graduation certificate and your acceptance/provisional acceptance to the PGCE.
